Is the development of India proportionate to 60 years of self governance? There are many question marks about it. I used to tell my friends when I was a kid that India might became like London if still English people ruling us. What a stupidity? Or may be they could have built the infrastructure like Roads and Railways better than us…
After 1991, We are moving in a accelerated phase. More FDIs, More Outsourcing, More Off shoring… More Coke... More Pepsi… More Pubs… More Discs…More Heart Attacks…
Last year India is the single largest consumer of gold.. due to increased per capita income… people don’t give a damn about buying gold.. they are looking for platinum now…
In this 61st Independence Day, PM announced about opening more IIMs and IITs in country (to serve more American Multi Nationals?)
India made N-deal with US and with in a month US started threatening us about cancelling the deal if we do nuke test… Are we losing our independence to US again?
At least we got a good interesting threat from Al Qaeda…(how to spell it man…)
I was amused when I saw some sky scrappers in Gurgoan and at the same time I was worried when I saw people sleeping on roof tops of huts made up of tin sheets in the same city.
As our “Thalaivar” Rajinikanth say “Rich get richer, Poor get poorer”. That’s what happened in the last 60 years.
The so far development is not spread evenly across the country. There are very few cities enjoys all the benefits.. Delhi, Gurgoan, Mumbai, Pune, Kolkatta, Bangalore, Hyderabad (Thanks to Chandrababu Naidu), Chennai… some few other cities… All other parts of India needs to relocate the people to these cities for employment… I can say there are more employment opportunities than necessary… Mumbai is overcrowded, Kolkatta is overcrowded, Chennai is overcrowded, Bangalore is overcrowded…
Its gonna be tough for the Administrator to provide electricity, water and transport to these people…
Need to create more special economic zones to create businesses and employment. Subsequently we need to create quicker connectivity to small towns from metros through road, rail and air.
I wish India can allow more FDIs in infrastructure and technologies. The standard of roads and railways is very far from Indian standards. We need to develop our self in these or we can bring foreign companies to do these…
Unless creating / spreading more employment across country, India gonna face more internal problems. I never know what are the employment opportunities available to North Eastern states like Sikkim, Nagaland, Manipur etc…
We have all the potential and resources, but we are not using it properly. We have good water resources, but we don’t know how to distribute it… When Israel is doing good with agriculture sector through drip irrigation, why India still struggle for water… some times without water, some time floods…
India is creating IITs and IIMs.. is it to serve Foreign multinationals? Why Indian government not acquiring this knowledge source? Cant these guys create ideas to develop Indian tourism? Cant they assist finance ministry? Cant they implement government projects? Or our government is satisfied with the foreign money they are sending to their parents from some NRI account?
We need some paradigm shift in the coming years.. India is compared to a corporate now… Now its India inc.
