What is the logic behind the following events?
1. Rahul Dravid played safe when he has the option to enforce the follow on at Oval.
2. The News channels providing news about the online tax return filing facility of commercial web sites like moneycontrol.com (a paid service through a third party) where as there is a web site from department of income tax itself (a free service where user themselves can file the tax returns, http://incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in/)
3. The enforcement of compulsory Helmet in Tamilnadu and subsequent relaxation/ignorance of rules.
4. One hour slot for Rakhi Sawant in a news channel when she endorsed as brand ambassador for some mouth freshener.
5. The Customer Care Service of Aircel Chennai advising me to buy a duplicate sim card and block it when I requested them to block my number after I missed my mobile.
The above events made me think.... why? Usually am a sort of guy who doesn’t want to think about these nonsenses / which are not within my boundary of senses. But now a days i believe blogging can help me in understanding some things / I can give some useful info to others / Can kill my time effectively from my office where I am sitting idle for most of the time (I really want to blog about my job very soon). But I am not sure whether there will be some impact in a huge level. Because " Yatha Yatha Hi Dharmasya"...We'll see....
My disclaimer for my blog is "Whatever the views expressed here in my blogs are purely my personal opinions which are gained through the education system of our great country and the societal environments where I brought up & where I am. I am seriously not here to hurt anyone / anyone's feeling. If you feel something is wrong, I am ready to discuss it and sort out"
Let me come to the point... do you believe cricket is still a game anymore? No I am not... Do you know why Cricket got so popular in the last 2 decades? Some pioneer Advertisement Company found out that a game in which they can get more than 100 breaks to show their advertisements / A game which can be played for 9 to 10 hours or 9 to 10 hours for 5 days.
Despite of these reasons, the game got the fascination of unpredictability. The game can dramatically turn in 5 to 10 minutes from one side to other. But now a days cricket is not played for the sportiveness of the game or to make peace / friendship with other countries.
Cricket is Commerce.
Cricket is Trade.
Cricket is Business.
Cricket is Money.
Cricket is a medium for Advertisements.
Advertisements in TV after every six balls, Advertisements in Boundary Line, Advertisements in Sachin's bat, T-Shirt, Shoe and all other accessories... I believe the Cricket industry is bigger than the bollywood (probably bigger than bollywood, tollywood and kollywood)... So now tell why Dravid didn't go for a kill in Oval Test. Is it because to clinch the series? or becuse to retain his captaincy? or because he don’t want take the bad name of leveling the series where India has the edge over the rivals to get the cup... I am not sure.... I am sitting in a living room and I have all the right to comment about it like Gavaskar or chappell or Some News Channel for which they are getting some compensation....
Why suddenly there are so many news channels in Indian media? NDTV, CNN IBN, Headlines Today, ZEE News, Aaj Tak, CNBC etc…
I am not sure about the percentage of Indian investment in those channels and about the Indian interest too…
One hour slot for Rakhi Sawant is too much for a news channel… There are so many other things to show in a news channel… And its totally unnecessary to analyse Bipasha’s personal life with John Abraham for an hour…In between Sanjay Dutt is the main news provider for these channels for a week… Among these channels NDTV has some quality in it….
When India serving many foreign countries with good customer support, they don’t mind about a quality customer support to Indian customers. Customer support team is not aware of the procedures and other stuffs.. If you call twice for a same problem, two different people will answer your call and you will get two different solutions. You can take example of any mobile company’s customer support.
And finally about this helmet issue, you should dare enough to talk about this... there are so many aspects to it… Someone might warned the ruling minority government (As per Jaya TV) about loosing votes in subsequent elections because of this compulsory enforcement… or Just to make sure everyone to buy helmet.. so that they will use it for the sake of buying it… One thing is sure enforcing a law which can make the people uncomfortable may turn against the government… even if its for a good cause… ....
