Gods must be crazy

Killing and Eating Goat is not an offense. But how come killing and eating a blackbuck is an offense? My Question may sound like idiocy. But rules are different in different occasion. Blackbuck is a rare kind and goats are in abundance. So, if people of United States die in terrorist attacks, their life are precious where as if Indian people die, its not that much big crime is it? We can accept that killing a blackbuck is a crime, because it may lead to complete vanishing of the rare breed from the world. But what kind of punishment can be given to the convicts? My suggestions are Heavy fine with a token term of imprisonment. A public apology. A Compulsory community service for a particular period. A compulsory service in the national zoo. Warning of heavy fine and longer imprisonment if the crime is repeated.

Is Flat World only for IT people?

Recently when I visited my Aunty in Pune, she was complaining about the youngsters who are working in IT companies. It seems these young kids inflating the prices in the city. Pune is emerging as a new IT hub for many multi nationals and Indian Software giants due to various reasons. The climate is very conducive for international clients. Adequate water supply and electricity favours the industries. Connectivity from Mumbai through an international standard Express Highway can take you to the city in 2 to 2 and half hours. Previously Pune supposed to be an industrial city, now becoming an IT hub due to various drawbacks of Bangalore, Chennai and Mumbai. I read some survey about the highly developing cities in India which has the top 2 positions with Gurgaon and Pune. Coming back to the spending habits of IT people, it is certain that people working in other sectors affecting because of this. Real estate businesses are soaring; even tomato and brinjal prices are hiked in these cities. ...

"Vaan Muhil Valaathu Peiga Mali Valam Surakka Mannan Kon Murai Arasu Seiga Kuraivilaathu Uyirgal Vaazgha, Naan Marai Arangal Onga Natravam Velvi Malga Menmai Kol Saiva Needhi Vilanguga Ulagam Ellam" "வான் à®®ுகில் வளாது பெய்க மலி வளம் சுரக்க மன்னன் கோன் à®®ுà®±ை அரசு செய்க குà®±ைவிலாது உயிà®°்கள் வாà®´்க, நான் மறை அறங்கள் ஓங்க நற்றவம் வேள்வி மல்க à®®ேன்à®®ை கொள் சைவ நீதி விளங்குக உலகமெல்லாà®®் " Translation "Good enough rain for the world Quality soil Resource for cultivation King who rules as per justice and good guidelines Problem free life for all lives Large implementations of 4 vedas in society More existence of Good Prayers and Yaagas Upliftment of saivait rules (Guidelines of People who worship Lord Shiva) in all over the world" This is the prayer I used to recite in my 30 seconds of prayer time every day, eventhough I am not very serious about he second paragraph. I used to hear it in most of the prayers in temples and prayer mee...

Discrimination is Everywhere

Discrimination is everywhere.. All children are not equal by birth... Some children are healthier.... Some children are having congenital diseases... Some children are crippled by birth... Some children born with silver spoons... Some Children born even without a spoon... In Schools students are getting different treatments... Student from a richer family is getting Scholorship Aid only because he/she is from a community categorised as "Low" by governments. (I need to mention that some deserved people are also benefiting from this. But the percentage of deserved people is very less.) Student from a poor family is not eligible for a scholorship just because he born in a community categorised as "Forward Class". Like Britishers, still our Leaders using the so called "Divide and Rule" policy only... Thastswhy they are not ready to remove the label "minority" to a set of people who constitute nearly 30% of country's population. There is no common...

Where is the Pride?

"I have traveled across the length and breadth of India and I have not seen one person who is a beggar, who is a thief. Such wealth I have seen in this country, such high moral values, people of such calibre, that I do not think we would ever conquer this country, unless we break the very backbone of this nation, which is her spiritual and cultural heritage, and, therefore, I propose that we replace her old and ancient education system, her culture, for if the Indians think that all that is foreign and English is good and greater than their own, they will lose their self-esteem, their native self-culture and they will become what we want them, a truly dominated nation." The quote is usually referenced as "Macaulay, British Parliament,1835". But today I feel we lost our caliber after I lost my mobile again. Now people are not ready to give back anything to the owners if they find a penny on the road even if they know the pocket from which it fell down. When I lost it...

60 years of Indian Independence

Is the development of India proportionate to 60 years of self governance? There are many question marks about it. I used to tell my friends when I was a kid that India might became like London if still English people ruling us. What a stupidity? Or may be they could have built the infrastructure like Roads and Railways better than us… After 1991, We are moving in a accelerated phase. More FDIs, More Outsourcing, More Off shoring… More Coke... More Pepsi… More Pubs… More Discs…More Heart Attacks… Last year India is the single largest consumer of gold.. due to increased per capita income… people don’t give a damn about buying gold.. they are looking for platinum now… In this 61st Independence Day, PM announced about opening more IIMs and IITs in country (to serve more American Multi Nationals?) India made N-deal with US and with in a month US started threatening us about cancelling the deal if we do nuke test… Are we losing our independence to US again? At least we got a good interesting...

Yatha Yatha Hi Dharmasya..

What is the logic behind the following events? 1. Rahul Dravid played safe when he has the option to enforce the follow on at Oval. 2. The News channels providing news about the online tax return filing facility of commercial web sites like moneycontrol.com (a paid service through a third party) where as there is a web site from department of income tax itself (a free service where user themselves can file the tax returns, http://incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in/) 3. The enforcement of compulsory Helmet in Tamilnadu and subsequent relaxation/ignorance of rules. 4. One hour slot for Rakhi Sawant in a news channel when she endorsed as brand ambassador for some mouth freshener. 5. The Customer Care Service of Aircel Chennai advising me to buy a duplicate sim card and block it when I requested them to block my number after I missed my mobile. The above events made me think.... why? Usually am a sort of guy who doesn’t want to think about these nonsenses / which are not within my boundary of se...
