As I am in the final lap of the bachelorhood, i am more interested in exploring the activities that I may not get interested after this point of my life. I am back in Cheltenham after two and half years. When I left this place last time, i was very immatured but happy and excited. In between i've lost that joy and excitement. Feeling as if i became a saint and dont want to be a spoilt brat again. But being a spoilt brat gonna provide us joy without affecting others, what is wrong in being a spoilt brat?
Last two and half year made a huge change not only in my life. Even I can see the change in the local peoples' day to day life style also. This economic recession influenced so many lives in the western countries. I am not able to see more fashionable outfits among the local people as before. Even the quality of their dress materials looking less ordinary. More local people are staying back in office to meet the project deadlines. I am not able to see those loads of good quality tube maps at Paddington station. Security personnel were distributing the low quality maps to people on demand. Food prices are doubled or trebled.
Last few weeks I couldn't watch movies. Still Diwali releases are pending..
Aadhavan, Blue, Men who stare at Goats, Inglorious basterds ... A long list is with me... need to start watching movies... Here Cine World is giving a deal for movie card... 13 (not sure) pounds per month for 12 months .. which will give you unlimited movies in any cine world screens in any city across UK... Thinking of getting one...
Just finished reading the '7 Day Weekend'. Its so inspiring. After reading you will think about working for Semco. But unfortunately we are not good enough to manage that much of freedom at work. There are few companies that can inspire you now and then with their organisational stories through books, media, employees, job seeker etc.. There are few companies that inspired me over the period through their organisational stories or fictions... namely google, semco, thoughtworks, 3M, Maveric Systems etc.
Suddenly i found myself doing this unusual habit of marking quotes while readiang books when i read "The secrets of Relationships" of Sri Sri Ravi Shankar. I've never did it before, even in my school books... Some of the quotes that i marked are below...
Feelings can not be captured in words
We think joy is somewhere else. As long as we are not used to a place, we think joy is there, but, once we get used to it, joy is no longer there anymore.
Today, one of the biggest problem with the world in emotional instability.
Most of the problem is a lack of communication.
Emotional Maturity, Intellectual Maturity and Physical Maturity, you need all of these three maturities. Then you are a complete personality.
Accept people as they are.
When people dont have enthusiasm in them, they will only share their grievances.
