SKIP 5 - Who Am I?

If anyone asks me SKIP 5 Level of your identity and Who are you? Definitely I will say that I am a student at my sixth level of identity. Let me explain this here.

As a confused reader of Bhagavat Gita who failed to finish the book at least once, I somehow believe that all embodied beings are non-different in their essence and the seeming differences which appear are due to distinctive attributes and any seeming perception of inequality is due to delusion. So whatever I am thinking/writing about myself are my attributes and not about me.

Level 1: Obviously it is my name along with my father's name as the usual practice of identifying a person in most part of the world. I feel that our parents’ attributes and reputation also influence our identity in initial stages. And most of the time we acquire some contrasting attributes from our parents'.

Level 2: I am an Indian. Now days I am wearing this nationality tag/attribute to me because recently I am traveling or working outside the country. Most of the time I feel proud to call myself as an Indian and I can not deny that this identity made me embarrassed at times. This identity made some sizeable Contribution to my personality development or formation. But I may or may not use this identity at place to place and context to context.

Level 3: The industry in which I am working became one identity of mine. Now a days this identity becoming just a source for living rather than a source for enthusiasm like yester years.

Level 4: Whatever I do for living, finally I feel myself like a social animal who is competing with others for survival. Most of the time I want to prove that I am fit enough to win the competition. In these competitions, sometimes there are huge victories and sometimes there are big blows. When I am doing fine with my survival sport, I try to start my next hunts for security, shelter, pleasure, pride, recognition, power etc.

Level 5: In this series of hunts, I am moving and shaking things and people with my speeches, writings, actions, silence, body language etc. But always I believe in giving a fair chance to my co-participants in the competition. I cautiously try to move & shake without damaging other peoples' interest.

Level 6: Whenever I move and shake things, I am learning a new lesson from it. That makes me a student. And I always want to learn new things which keep me enthusiastic in life. Whether it be reading novels or writing blogs or cooking food or participating in a music contest or practicing Yoga or making a new friend or loosing an old friend, every time I feel like a student. I want to keep this identity forever. I can provide still more identities between my first and last level depending upon the questions like SKIP 10 or SKIP 20. And some of the identities may change time to time. I may want to fill/change some identities like Singer or Teacher or Politician or Blogger or something like that in the coming years. But really I want to keep my first and last identities which I mentioned here.

So is an Indian Software Professional who is really think himself as a social animal, moving and shaking things for survival and ends up as a student while doing so....

Level 1: My Name

Level 2: Indian

Level 3: Software Professional

Level 4: Social Animal

Level 5: Mover & Shaker

Level 6: Student
