Sharm El Sheik, The place where you can loose yourself and your inhibitions.... “Sharm” meaning point between two cracks and “El Sheikh” meaning wise man referring to the Bedouin tribe leaders...
The place filled with fun. Its located in the tip of the Sinai Peninsula region of Egypt. Its a holiday destination for europe and russian tourists. It has a swanky medium sized international airport connecting to various destinations in europe and africa. We can see more russian, serbian, greek and bulgarian tourists here. Most of them struggle to speak english.
This city made me loose myself in it... It made me say 'Enough Dancing' which i never said in the past... It made me loose my nationality and the national habit of staring at foreign chicks with summer clothes (eventhough some of them are top less) It made me loose 'myself' in the water and taught me how to float... (at final when i landed some coral reefs gave me scratches in the feet) It made me loose myself with a seesha (water pipe) That too when you play your favourite song like "Mouna Raagam" in the ipod and lay on the arab style of couches on the floor, you can feel like flying...
The night clubs Pacha and Castello were rocked me with music and beverages... Both has unique styles. Pacha is a closed place in Nama bay. Castello is in a open place and huge one.. I remember seeing a big entrance for it with the words 'Alf Leila Wa Leila' which means "Thousand Nights and a Night" Both had foam party when we were there. In Pacha, for foam party, it was in one corner, if you wish you can join it with proper clothes... It got a swimming pool also inside. In Castello, that night in the middle of the dance floor, foam was splashed from all the corners with a huge fan kind of machine.... It was a surprise that no one knows about it when they entered...
The city has an Old Market where you can shop. Almost every Hotel has their own or rented beaches for their guests... Snorkeling and Diving are the best things to do in these beaches... For diving, we need to join some diving schools here and get the licence. Banana boat trips also one of the option. Desert safari is famous here...
I met these Senagalese guys who can talk in Arabic, French and English. They are amazing with variety of talents. With the proper education and policies, these countries can become prosperous. Its very sad to see these countries suffer.
When coming out of this city, its like getting out of sleep...
