With the inspiration of sites like Endgadget, Gizmodo, Digital Inspiration etc., I am starting to write this post. I am not sure how I will end it...
As a Open source supporter, I dumped the iphone 4 and went ahead with buying this Android powered Dell Streak from Carrefour. It came with Android 2.1 version. It was cool with the original version. But I wanted to upgrade it to 2.2 Froyo. It was a struggle to upgrade it to Android 2.2 Over the Air update as the device is not updated properly with the base band version and it belongs to Europe segment. With the help of a friend who jail breaks almost everything that he can, we found some tweaked version of 2.2 from XDA developer forum and updated it. After the upgrade, we got some new apps to use. But whatever the kind of apps that I thought are not yet stabilized for Android devices.
My first purpose for buying a device with 2 sided cameras is to use video chat. But Skype is not available in this middle east region for download and still Skype for Android is not supporting video chat. There is another video chat app for gmail is Vtok. This app is not yet came with a stable version. Its using my back camera for chat. And both of these applications are stable in iOS. And the main problem with this device is that I am not able to uninstall the unnecessary apps that came with the 2.2 installation. Some of them are getting started at device boot and eating out the battery charge. Particularly if we use GPS based applications, the battery will drain with in an hour. So we need to kill these applications at start up and use them only when necessary.

2. Little inconvenient as phone due to size.
3. Unresponsive touch screen to answer the call. (some times)
4. Battery back up is not so great.
5. Not sure about further updates.
6. If you miss the USB charger, not sure whether we can get another charger.
