Executive Summary
One: My Recent Visit to Haridwar, Mussorie and Dehradun
Two: The Curious case of Benjamin Button
Three: Next movies to watch
Four: Recent status message that got into my eyes in gtalk...
I recently realised that there are places and people we may like but not yet visited..... after our trip to Haridwar, Mussorie and Dehradun....
It was a weekend trip from Gurgaon with my office colleagues for another team member's wedding reception a.k.a cocktail party ... My first attraction was the Ganges @ Haridwar... I just wanted to dip myself by watching its speedy flow.... I took not more than a minute to finish my three dips... it was so chill.. even little paining... But the freshness it gave me lasting till now.... Somewhere i read that Haridwar is a place where the 'Elixir' spilled while it get transported... it seems there are other 3 places also....
And the next attraction at Mussorie... Its a Tibetean Restaurant called Kalsang... The food is so good... esp momos.... veg and chicken..... veg by me and chicken by others....We (5 of us) had a 5-6 course dinner and paid only 1300 odd INR for that.... Mussorie is a place still not commercialized much.. the cost is comparatively very less compared to other hill stations.. Ooty should be atleast 5 times costlier than Mussorie... Even stay is cheaper in decent places.... 5 of us paid Rs.2500 for one day in a Guest house suite with 2 rooms .... with proper heating facilities and rest rooms..... As a complimentary service,,,, 2 hours of Camp Fire exclusive for 5 of us....
The Mall street shoping, Kempty Falls, The cable car journey to the cliff and the lake are real fun. The disappoinment was "Sagar Ratna" restaurant... Advertisements for the restaurant was all over the hill.. but when we reached the restaurant, it was closed... probably some maintenance... I still remember the food which i had in 'Sagar Ratna' in Katra... But here we finally ended up with Uduppi Hotel, where there is no sign of Karnataka connection to the people and food...
In Dehradun, i saw another "Sagar Ratna'.... This Capital city of Uttarkant or Uttaranchal is very neat... and people look very fashion savvy.... We can see all the top brand apparel outlets throughout the city... Gals of Dehradun are very pretty.... The entire trip was fun... i understood that there are places and people we may like and yet to see.....
Two:
Benjamin Button is simply amazing as the one liner story giving an different experience to everyone.... In this story Benjamin (Tom Cruise) born with the features of a old man and his mother dies immediately... So his fathe the Button Sr. (Making buttons is their family business), a rich man abondon his baby (old) boy in fron of a Old Age Home.. Queenie, the Care taker of the home bringing up this child.... This boy getting younger and younger when he grow...This child going through the life in reverse chronological order.. He is falling in love with the gal he meet in the Old Age home exactly in the middle of lifetime.. After they have a baby, Pitt realise that he gonna be young and Some of the scenes they used graphics to make up Pitt to look old and dwarf.... but there is no trace of it... He did so well..... My nominee for the Oscars is this movie and obviously the Best Actor will go to Pitt... Watch out this movie when hit the theatres....
